Who is the best reader in the city of Freiburg? With around 600,000 participants every year, the reading competition, which was launched in 1959, is the oldest and largest school competition in Germany.
Around 6,600 pupils from 6th grade throughout Germany take part in the regional decisions of the cities and districts. The city decision for Freiburg will take place in the Mediothek in Rieselfeld. Media representatives are cordially invited to report on the event. The winner of the district/city competition is allowed to travel to the subsequent district competition. The stages lead from the school decisions to the city/district, district and state level and finally to the national final.
