Lectures, readings & discussions
Documentation Center National Socialism

How are people remembered? Who is remembered? What are the current challenges of remembrance work? Julia Wolrab, scientific director of the Documentation Center for National Socialism, will shed light on these and other questions using the history of the "forgotten coat" on the Wiwilí Bridge near the main train station, from where at least 379 Freiburg residents were deported to the Gurs camp in southern France in October 1940. The lecture will take place as part of the Saturday University at the University campus Freiburg, Kollegiengebäude I, lecture hall 1010. Admission is free, registration is not required.
